How are you feeling about it?

Had my A2 today, had to be called off and rebooked so looks like I might be stuck on it.

Being tested on something I'm unlikely to get to practice significantly Thumbs Down

I had trouble understanding the examiner over the radio on my second test... loads of noise and crackle but his voice was really quiet. I still passed, luckily. Completely fine on my first test. Neutral

Seem's abit unreasonable really - doesn't it?
Surely they'd realised that a misunderstood direction could be dangerous to the passing of the test if giving everyone an unfair advantage. Shocked

You can't really fail for taking a wrong turn or the like, so long as what you do is done in the correct manner. Having a microphone would be distracting for you and them, especially if you to talk to yourself as you do the test pointing out things behind and ahead that could become issues and reminding yourself to check crossings for people about to cross ect (quite an effective technique tbh).

Or the examiner hearing me shouting, 'Sh*t, sh*t, you F**king idiot, SH*TTTTT!!!!!' after stalling pulling out of a junction and failing. Wouldn't be very nice for him that.

In the 12 hours training on the GS500 I didn't stall it once, not once, not even during the E stops. Evil or Very Mad

Yep, the bike went over the line and into the road before the stall, nothing was coming either way, I just restarted it, put it into first (it was in second) and pulled away. He failed me because i'd gone over the line, it went down as a 'serious' (control), only one minor too.

When I took my test I was with two other riders and when I was leading the group I took the wrong turn twice because of the absolutely terrible radio. I ended up getting lost in one way streets while the examiner in a the car tried to give me random directions so I could find the group again.

Passed anyway but I was sure I had completely failed. Was a good laugh afterwards.

They do a test with the radios before you set off, if there is any trouble then they have backups and replace it, otherwise they will reschedule. Although the radio on my test was fine, but then two commands I didn't receive correctly. I that case I just kept going. When we stopped for the emergency stop and U-turn we had a chat, and he said, I'd done the right thing by going forward, and he fiddled with it a bit, and was fine the way back.

They can't fail you for not taking some of his commands, he'll probably get very pissed, but if it's not your fault, it's not your problem.

my instructor always said "if your going to go wrong, make sure you do it right". they cant fail you for it, unless you do something unsafe!
