Bit of a poser shot, but this was me just before I put my lid on and went for my first ride since passing my CBT.

It's my first bike, and it's just great Smile

Not bad. Look after it and take it easy. The RS125 is the most crashed bike in the UK!

If only i'd have known that... Is it for any particular reason? Ie - does it lose front wheel grip at unexpected times, etc... ?

I'd quite like to stay away from being a statistic, and until I can change my bike it'd be nice to know how Smile

Its because they're ridden by learners, and are often the boy racers choice of 2 wheeled transport.

Nice one. Generally they're bought by people as shops hype them up as the "fastest 125 around" etc etc, and the "race replica" so people try and ride beyond their abilities. Good to see you using all the right kit as well. Thumbs Up

My first buy was a decent (non plastic) helmet, and my second the SiDi boots. After that, it's all leather and waterproofs Wink

Thanks for the welcome guys, I can see why the boy racers enjoy this bike so much. I have to admit that every time I see a Ford Focus my throttle hand begins to itch...

... maybe thats not just a boy racer thing though Wink

The most crashed bike in 'ride, rider power'.

So its the most crashed bike riden by a select few riders who happen to read said magazine and have been bothered to fill in the form.

Me thinks the rs50 would get the most crashed tiltle.

I beleive it's actually taken from insurance statistics.

And if it was a select few? Just a few thousand more than filled it in for every other bike Rolling Eyes

The 125 is quick for a small learner legal bike, the 50... not.

He was just making a point, which IMO is correct.

I beleive its had the "most crashed" and "most unreliable" and "longest wait for spares" title in rider power for the past two years.

ONLY because its the only two sroke and the only learner bike in rider power as other bikes don't have enough entries.

I resent being called a dumbass.

I've got a cagiva supercity which i'm restoring. The engine is the same as the mito, i was told the parts are hard to get and take ages to get in. I ordered a new piston kit and a full engine gasket set from my local dealer and he got the parts in for me 2 days later.

You are a very lucky man. Cagiva are one of, if not the, worst companies to get spare parts from.
It took me nearly 18 months to get a clip for the end of the V Raptors exhaust.
An exhaust that has delaminated because it took them so long.
An exhaust that the Cagiva dealer said 'that's OK, we'll relpace it under warranty'.
That was in June last year. We have just been told by 3x that they no longer make those exhausts, so they can't get one for us.
I now have to write a letter to 3x telling them that they are either going to replace the exhaust with a new one the same, or they are going to replace both of them with the new version.
If neither of those are acceptable to them I shall be suggesting that they simply pay for a similar pair from an after market supplier (Blue Flame?).

So yes, Cagvia are crap for parts.
