hi, not been on here in a long long time Embarassed

but my insurance is due in sept so i thinking of selling my bike as it wont be used in the winted as iv got a car now, i just have no idea at all on how to price it, there are a few ups and downs the bike bike and what will be going with it, so ill list all the factors i can think of and id like to see what you lot would consider a diecent price for it, so here goes...

G Reg (1990... i think) VFR 400
25000 Miles. kms
Regually serviced, valves done not so manny miles ago but last year, head race just done, for seals and dust seals all recently done, new chain
the forks have had a "fox racing shox" conversion done, whatever this invloves but i know the innerds are not standard
Full scorpion zorst system, HRC ignition (coils)
been set up on a dyno to run the zorst and coils
33bhp restriction cert, washers still in packaging Rolling Eyes can be put in tho
tyres are all good BT090's
loads of bits in a bix i got given when i had it, all useful stuff
spare front tyre too
LOADS of recipts and history
the fairings are in a bit of a sorry state, tank is fine, but iv brought a set of hm plant fairings but not got round to fitting them, they have suffered a little postage dammage in the way of a crack and a snapped off bit that goes under the seat unit
the engine is a bit ill, it has an oil leek from where the front sprocket is, and 1st always pops into a nuteral when you give it some, new pads all round
Entire new clutch assy
DB screen
new filters &oil

Thats about all i can think of at the mo

so if youd be so kind and to give me some incling of what i should expect for it, id be a happy bunny,

Thanks Thumbs Up Mr. Green

i was hoping for a bit more than that, around the 1K mark as the prices are quite high for them at the moment for some reason

if i was to awap the engine, costing me about £250, what would you think about the price then?

Im not sure on price mate, but dont make the mistake of overpricing it. Ive seen bikes in similar condition to yours up at silly money, like £1500 or so - to my mind thats way overpriced.
Really its the oil leak and the fact it pops out of gear that will let it down, the oil leak could probably be sorted for pennies but gearboxes aint cheap..

About £500, but with the amount of money spent on it a few hundred would get you a nice bike again.
