I just finished reading the post about wheelies and found it very informative. I was wondering if you guys could put together a similiar "how-to-for-dumbies" on Stoppies.

Thanks for the help

Just lean forward a tad and pull the front break.

For longer stoppies it requires you to get near the balancing point, don't recommend hitting the balancing point as you sh1t your kegs because nothing you do brings it down i.e let go of the breaks and see which way you go.

don't recommend trying it in the wet.

and, erm... my experience with the balance point in stoppies isn't so much a 'o shit I can't get this down again', it's more like 'o shit I'm going down the wrong side of the bike'. It's usually all far to quick. However it'll be a while before you're getting that high.
If by some freak you do manage to get a balance point stoppie and don't see the ground rapidly approaching; let go of the brake and shift your weight back along the bike, this will increase the balance point, so that your current attitude is below it.

Any one know how to do the tail whip thing. i been practicing on a push bike but haven't quite managed it yet.

Also the 1 handed stoppy Embarassed hurts on a dirt/supermoto as theres nothing for your knee's to grab so you just fling forward Shocked
Any ideas??

Dunno about a tail whip on a motorbike, but on a push bike its all done with the placement of your hips over the frame. There is a great vid called 'Dirty Tricks and Cunning Stunts' which shows you how they are done. Don't know how different the motorbike version is, but obviously there is more mass to move...
