Hi people,

As you know my bike is fucked, but I think it's the alarm/immobilizer thats sorta fucking up a bit and arming whilst I am riding the bike cutting the engine out cos I derestricted my bike just like the instructions on nsr125.com say, and I have stripped the engine down and a mechanic has checked out my carb, air filter, hoses etc and they seem fine, so methinks its an electrical fault. Taking the bike to the best mechanic I know sometime this week and we gonna rip the alarm off, alarms are wank anyway, ok they may help on the insurance but seriously what is the fucking point if I never leave my bike anywhere but in my garage (garage is alarmed, 2 disklocks, chain, steering lock, ground anchor) and at bike meets when it ain't gonna get nicked is it.

On a positive note, my mate just bought a sweet Y reg RS125, 2500km on the clock. I had a quick blast on it today, and it's shit hot I'm telling you. You have to rev the bollocks off it mind, but it seems such a lighter bike and the handling is second to none. Think I still prefer my NSR though, even though its fucked atm!!!!

Cya people!!

i found the handling better on the nsr than the rs125,

the rs125 feels much powerful

but the wide and heavy (d207) arent the best idea!

the 125's have erm on the left and the 50's have erm on the right. only way i can tell erm apart. except the noise and speed but i mean looking at from a short distance. I would hate it if u could get 50's that looked the same as the NSR. so downgrading

Hi

The RS125 uses a Rotax engine, and for some reason they put the output sprocket on the right side of the engine, so the chain goes down the right. The RS125 has a banana swinging arm which is straight on the side with the chain and arches up off the exhaust on the left

All thebest

Keith
