Hola! first post, and hope to get some good info.

Heres my dilemma, I am missing 4 fingers on my left hand. I was wondering if ya'll know some1 or heard of some1 who has put there clutch on the right side, or something to fix this problem.

Welcome to the forum Thumbs Up

What bike do you have? or are you planning on getting one?

I guess it could be done but it would leave the problem of the brake... i know some race bikes have thumb brakes but thats for the back so not really helpful.. some bikes have linked braking systems but again i think thats controlled from the front brake hmm
the obvious thing would be to suggest an automatic but that restricts you to.. well scooters...

Ah there is a company who makes semi auto kits for bikes (originally for people in your position but increasingly trackday nutters are hunting them down apparently), basically you get a button for up and a button for down, when pushing either button it depresses the clutch enough for the gear to change, not sure how it would be while climbing hills or in traffic, you'd have to control the speed with your brake...

anyways no doubt somebody here will think of something Wink

You can get 'quickshifter' systems that cut the ignition timing; meaning you don't have to use a clutch to change gear.

If you don't mind stopping with the rear brake when you come to a stop in gear (so you can use the clutch) it shouldn't be too much of a problem having the clutch on the right hand.

Oh, and 'Welcome to the madhouse' as they say Smile .

Hi

I am sure it can be done. However your best starting point is probably the NABD - https://www.nabd.org.uk/ . They should almost certainly be able to help you.

All the best

It is quite an easy thing to do really so don't panic.

Basically all you do is put the clutch leaver on the other side and you link both front and rear brakes together and run them from the rear brake pedal.

I've read about a guy who fitted his clutch to his rear-brake as he had no left arm. Said it was really easy with a hydraulic clutch.

some early bikes have the clutch as a tilting pedal on the left and a gear change lever on the tank, could be worth a try if you are desperate to ride
