https://www.skunkworks.webaxxs.net/goose/brakethingy.jpg

in the picture (master cylinder), the little rubber bit (right in the centre) where the lever pushes into the master cylinder....is this part important, as mind has degraded is all cracked...

when i was bleeding (ouch Razz ) after opening the bleed nipple, squeezing lever in, closing nipple, then when letting the lever out, there was a sucking noise coming from around the master cylinder, and as a result, the system refused to bleed, i was wondering if the little rubber bitis important for an air tight seal?

also is that little rubber bit, the same as this...in the top centre of the pic? this is apparently a master cylinder rebuild kit for the bros, and i was wondering if those are the bits i need if im having snags?

https://www.skunkworks.webaxxs.net/goose/caliper.jpg is installed correctly as i wasnt sure the position of the washers (i was given three with the brakeline, two i put at the top near the master cylinder, 1 as pictured)[/img]

Hi

Think that rubber bit is just a seal to stop water, etc getting in there. Probably is worth replaceing if it has perished. Make very certain that you get the seals the right way round in the master cylinder.

All the best

Keith
