I have a Trek 7000 that i bought in 1997 and I am wiping the dust off of it and starting back up. However I just ordered a new riser bar for it and i dont know what kind of stem to get. I have a threadless "Aheadset" on it right now with rock shox i dont know how big it is ...is it an inch and an eight or and inch and a half?

I'm not sure how many mountain bike experts are on here, with it being a motorbike site, but you never know. Have you tried google for your answer?

NO

Early bikes (and possibly some road bikes) were 1" and MOST bikes are now 1 1/8"

Orange have tryed the 1 1/2" but with not much sucess because fork manufactures wont make the forks so theres only a handfull of orange patriot (possibly 222's) with 1 1/2" headset but you cant buy them!

(Spoke to Mr Orange in morzene last summer!)
