I use Sidi Black Rain's. Never let me down on the waterproofing, but not even two pairs of mountain socks could keep my feet warm on a winters day!

i use nitro boots. they were only £40 and do the job. i've never worn other boots but i recommend these for what they are Smile have been wearing them for 5 months to and from work regularly and pleasure trips and they're in perfect condition. even crashed in em and they're not even scraped Thumbs Up

Got a pair of Frank Thomas Cafe Racer boots, which are good at water proofing, but a little loose on the shins, nice and warm with good socks, and not hot in the summer. Also got some army boots for £20, do the job nicely, but the steel toe cap gives you very little feeling changing gear.

Sidi for top of the range.

Alpine Stars are very good and offer excellent protection.

Unforunately there are lots of boots to choose from that are cheap and you only realise the cost of buying cheap when you come off!

Nitro are a good budget brand that offer very good protection.

i got a pair of sidi vertigo off flea-bay for £43, used twice still boxed, chap bought em and decided he didn't like biking (shame)
there were no scuffs and looked like they just come off the shelf.
just be careful with the sizing, i'm a size 9 shoe and the boots are size 9.5 and still a bit tight.
i only use these in the summer, i've got some wet weather boots from hein gericke, they wre pricy around £180 but for comfort and waterproofing, they are spot on thery're also well insulated for really cold days.

For the past 3 years I've had Astar SMX+....Not supposed to be waterproof but they've kept my feet dry in some of the worst rain I've ever ridden in.

Very secure fastenings as well, you have the lace on the inner part of the boot that means the boot is tight against you, then you have the zip on the outer boot, then a ratchet strap across the top (very good for those with bigger calf muscles)

It's time for a change for me though.

I'm going for the Sidi Vertigo Corsa in all white Twisted Evil

I love the boot, it's very comfortable when on and Sidi have offered me a too good to refuse deal on them Wink

Swift M2Rs

£25 and great boots. Keep your feet warm and dry and I've had a 2 ton milk float run over my foot while wearing them and I didn't feel a thing.

Clicky

Only fault I have is if you are wearing them in doors for a while your feet can get quite hot.

Marks right about the Swifts.

I've got a pair too and very good value for money.

Yeh they do get a bit hot but that's a good thing in my opinion especially this time of year.
