Hi all

There is this road by me, goes from 30 - 40mph for say half a mile then a roundabout onto the dual carrigeway.

Within the 40 zone, there is a right turn.
The road is wide enough to easily filter in the middle but you tend to be stuck in traffic cos cars turning into the right.
Also cars / lorries turning out from the side road.

What is the best way to ride here.
Is it Stay in the traffic for 20 mins
Filter upto the junction, if cars are coming towards continue, if not pull in so not to get hit by the car turning right?

Just want to know the best and legal way of tackling this junction

you have to be confident in them situations. if in doubt, filter until you are close to the dangers, merge in then filter again after Thumbs Up

Personally I don't take the "all or nothing" approach when filtering, so I take what I can get.

In the outlined scenario I would as Rotax81 has pointed out, filter where appropriate and remain in the traffic flow where not. So filter up to the right-hand turn, get back in the traffic and then once you get to the island filter a bit more if you can.
