my rg 125 f willl no longer spark when being turnd by startermotor,but runs when bumped,can anybody please help,its just had an engine rebuild but no electrics were touched,i dont know were to start????????

Charging the battery might help.

What does it read volt wise with engine running and not running.

test the volts?do you mean test the battery under a load??

Do you have an after market alarm/immobiliser? If not it does hint that under the load of powering the starter motor not enough voltage to power the cdi. Put a meter on the battery to see what voltage it reads when it's spinning the starter motor and post it up here.

Read off the volts with nothing running and then read them off again with the engine running.
Also as above see how much they drop when cranking.

tested it today,it is at 12 v,and at 14v when running.i dont own a voltage tester so i cannot check how much it drops when using starter motor untill tommorow.soon as i know i will let you know,thanx

my mate had a spear battery,so we charged it,put it on,problem solved.my battery was 10 days old from ebay,so watch what you buy from ebay.thanx for replys,i would have still had problems now without them Smile
