Anyone from Stoke..?

Is there anyone here from Stoke that could recommend a cheap place to stay for one night, ideally near Fenton Manor Sports Complex?

My boy has a tournament there in November, and as it's so far away we're going to have go up the night before, rather than leave at stupid o'clock in the morning.

Haven't googled yet, as i thought i'd see if anyone from that area knew of somewhere cheap and decent(ish) that might not be on t'web first.

Fenton is a suitabley shite place to stay fella, and Fenton Manor is basically in the middle of an industrial area with some houses on the other side.
Depends on how much you want to pay, but this place is within 4 miles and is easy to find as it's just off the A50

I'd look at staying in areas like Hanley and Newcastle. I'm pretty sure there's a travelodge just off junction 15 of the M6.

I am in "the hellkat crew" cos even though she is stupid enough to fall for my manipulatively adorable mannerisms, I - like everyone else in the royal household of hellkat with even a few braincells (which most of the household seem to only have) - know which side my tunafish sandwich is buttered on ... and that it is she-who-must-be-sucked-up-to, in order to run oneself a nice comfortable and fulfilling life of doing not very much at all.
