Had a brilliant Sunday.

I was cruising effortlessy through town in a kind of circle.

I venture down a long straight which has a slightly sweeping left that turns to a T junction with lights, few cars that are an effortless pass as I notice some hotties hung about I'll make myself big and hard for 2 seconds so knock it down a gear, give it some and fly past on the rear. When I approach the T junction the lights go green, so gotta pull it back down and turn when there's a nice discreet marked T5 signing to slow down....

I decide that my trusty 125 is no match and I've had it.

So I rev it's nuts off and go for it. The roads are fairly clear being a late sunday afternoon, I'm making the use of the last hour of sun in style, and a mile or so of road ahead with little bits of curves in that forks off to the left and right is where I'm heading, to take the right.
I'm 'hovering' the speed limit for the road and can see a burgundy car ahead approaching from a side road....... *phew* it stops as it's seen me. Just as I pass I then notice a Clio pulling out of a right hand double side road ahead., he aint stopping..... he's gonna go for the left fork, crossing my path. I just watch his wheels..... they aint stopping, just rolling forward the same speed, I wonder if the squad car lights to my rear will grab his attention? I'm briskly headed toward him and the sun isn't in my favour, I'm probably glared out. Sad I weave slightly to my left in avoidance of him, but he jolts to a stop as I approach his wing, by this point I'm almost in the left fork with cars already in the lane waiting for the traffic lights to go green.

I lean the bike right over, hoping to make the right of the fork at the last minute which I manage although the metal railing for the footpath was a close shave for my left knee. I glance back, and am stunned to notice the police car had gone left, maybe I confused the guy? Either way I'm fukin buzzin!....
I face forwards again to the discovery that there's a police transit van overseeing everything, I just pass it at the fork junction and the lights go green, is he gonna turn round and pursue me? I aint waiting round to find out. Daringly taking advantage of my sudden opportunity I nail it, breifly glancing back here and there checking my progress over the van determined not to end up a victim of todays motor policing. I take no prisoners in my descent home and park the bike calmly, despite the absolute buzz of adrenaline flowing right through me. Not even a shake of the hand.

Cool

Well I actually found that a quite interesting read. You're a bloody idiot for trying to get away on a 125 though, the chances of that happening were pretty scarce. Laughing

<idiot mode>

Going home a few nights back I spotted a 'car' in the distance, catching it up I noticed it said 'Dog Unit' on the rear.

So there I am on a long straight A road doing the limit in the inside lane, very bored, very cold and starting to daydream. It suddenly crossed my mind that, I could take it, no way would it be able to catch me with no traffic to slow me down and the more I thought about it the more it seemed like a good idea and the more the heart raced...

Common sense kicked in after 4-5 miles of thinking this and I ended up going the scenic route for the last part of my journey.

Funny what boredom on the road can do. Laughing

It's true, I came up steaming down the outside lane of the fairly empty motorway last night. Caught the Police vinyl in my headlights up ahead, eased off the throttle whilst thinking if I kept going it wouldn't have a chance of catching me.

I decided to let off, the Police car went off at the next exit and I continued up to speed, with no drama.

Sensible for once.

Might be a buzz, and you may well get a way.

One glimpse of your plate by the cop though and they'll just wait 'til the morning to hand you your ass on a plate. Idea

That story could form the basis for a good rock song, have you thought about e-mailing it to Neil Peart? Eh?

125? pah. I ran from police on my 50 Cool.

Was a foot copper Laughing got pulled over like 5 minutes later by a traffic car, when I pulled out of the car park (local bike shop) I had been 'hiding' in. Got nout 'cept a 15minute lecture Razz

The foot copper didn't get my plate though as they looked for the lights that I was orginally meant to be pulled for.

Not sure what is, but that's not it, I'd say.
Maybe having the rear step out significantly when at silly speeds on track and you're right by the outside edge of the track. I'm guessing the rag-doll flying through the air gave me a fair bit of adrenaline as it rather hurt once it'd worn off!
