Don't wear a helmet, and when you fall off it might wake up that lonely brain cell in there.

I dont wear a cycle helmet, but in my opinion, there is more need for it on roads with other vehicles, than off road.

Safety is a game of statistics.

If I cycled everyday to work I would wear a helmet every time as the chances of me getting knocked off some time would be reasonable. I think everyone I know that has commuted on a pushbike for more than 1 year has had at least one crash.

As I only cycle occasionally I usually don't bother as the chances of me getting knocked off on that journey are quite low.

You see - I use a poor understanding of statistics to give myself a false feeling of security. Mr. Green

I think a hi vis vest is better protection on the roads, as it makes you more noticeable.

If you wear a lid on the roads then drivers will give you less space when they pass you than they do when you're not wearing a lid. So you're more likely to get knocked off when you're wearing a lid than when you're not wearing one.

Wear a long haired wig to give the slight idea that you might be female and people will give you more space when they pass you, so that's the real answer to road safety for cyclists.

I would have paid to see that!

I would pay 10x that amount if it was a little 5yr olds bike!

Wear leathers and a lid on a pushbike, even a experianced rider like matthie can manage to come off at high speed and if it wasnt for his gear, he would be limbless probably. Watch this
