Hi all,

what are power reeds?

Saw some on ebay for an NSR or RS, just wondering if they're worth the money

Reeds are the valves from two strokes.

It used to be all the rage to change them in two strokes when the bikes came with steel ones as standard. Now most come with fiber ones so the benefit of fitting aftermarket ones is less.

If they are dual stage ones (AKA boysen) they might be worth it.

They would be the last thing on my list of things to change as the difference they would make is small and they are unlikely to be the limiting factor.

Yeah when I first got my NSR, I went to M&P to get some reeds. Apparently they said the ones they did only last a track session. Now i'm not sure if this would apply to all reed's. But worth asking when/before you buy.
