Hi 'Anonymous'

Yeah - the whole paintjob thing is staring to worry me with everyone taking the piss. Crying or Very sad
I'm only paying ~£120-150 for the paintjob - which ain't much. But I guess time will tell and I should have it back in the next 2 weeks.

Yeah - sure I've got some bits left but I can't remember exactly wot. The bit above the filler cap is just a hinged rectangle and off the top of me head I suspect the spare bike does NOT have it but I will check. My fairing on the main bike is ALL original, yeah.

Manuals are a bitch to find - I'm still looking. Apparently trade fairs etc. are the best place to pick up 2nd hand manuals.

I do have other photos? What sort d'ya want? Maybe I could take a pic or two of wots left on the 2nd bike and you can see if yer want anything? Are you anywhere near Bristol?

Is your bike rideable yet? If so - wot sorta speed you getting from it?

Anywho - let us know if yer want photos of wots left on the wreck.

You missed the Bristol Classic bike show last weekend. This weekend there is the Vintage and Japanese motorcycle show at Donnington. I will keep an eye out for manuals

All the best

I found a manual for a NS125R on ebay.
Unfortunatley not for the NSR125R.
I bid on it anyway coz it was cheap Laughing
(although I found out afterwards that the postage wasn't Crying or Very sad ).

Hi

From what I understand (never been to this show before) it will mainly be 80's and 70's bikes. Stuff like RDs and the like.

There are 2 shows in Stafford each year. The one towards the end of the year tends to be 70's and 80's and it is quite good

All the best

Chills - I've just bought a complete fairing for my 91 RK, but it's got non of the internals, so if there's anything left after anon's scavenged, could I have a pick? I'm quite willing to pay whatever youre asking(within reason!).

Keith - I'm lazy! Could you let me know when everything happening at Stafford if you know? I wouldn't mid a look around, and as it is only down the road it would be stupid to miss it (I could drag my ex along and convince him that he really odes want to get his RD back on the road instead of riding his dad's 9R).

Thanks

Hi

First show is normally in April time. Not bad, but mainly older bikes. The second is around November time (plenty of time to wait)

I take it you now have to get the fairing resprayed? I saw an unfaired black NSR coming out of Stafford last night. Not you by any chance?

All the best

'Anon' hasn't got back to me but I don't have any front fairing parts (internal or otherwise on the spare bike). I have a spare side panel and the little panel in front of the seat but dats about it.

Soz.

Is there anything else you need (and I'm not after making money from this stuff - if you sort the postage you can have wot you want - within reason).

BTW - Do we get a pic of your NSR? (Or you on it? - as I seem to recall was mentioned before!)

PHOTO OF REMAINING BITS ON BIKE WOULD BE SPOT ON. MY BIKES NOT ON THE ROAD JUST YET. I NEED QUITE A LOT OF BITS-FRONT MUDGAURD, FRONT FAIRING, I ORDERED THE PIECE FOR ON TOP OF THE TANK TODAY £18 NOT BAD,MAIN STAND (OR WILL THAT LOOK DAFT),HEADLIGHTS+OTHER BITS AND BOBS.

IN CASE YOUR GETTING WORRIED I ONLY PAID £250 FOR THE BIKE SO IF PUSH CAME TO SHOVE I SUPPOSE I COULD BREAK IT, BUT I'D RATHER GET IT BACK ON THE ROAD.

ANOTHER QUICK QUESTION DO THE FAIRING SIDE PANELS FIX STRAIGHT TO THE TANK OR AM I MISSING SOME BRACKETS, MINE JUST DONT WANT TO FIT.

HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH FIBREGLASS FAIRINGS?

Photos attached see below...

If you look at the tank pic you'll see that it has brackets on the top. I THINK they bolt onto them. (Can't be sure as mine is still at the shop)

Fibreglass fairings.... not a clue, sorry. I only know that I couldn't find pattern bodywork for the RK with Twin-Headlights.

I have these pix and some others of the wreck on me web site:
https://www.ac-hills.swinternet.co.uk/wreck.htm

Is any of that of any use to you?
The only bit I DEFINITELY need is the front brake assembly.
Soz for the delay getting you these pix... Mate's stag party last night and major lie-in this morning.

Good luck with the build.

Rich

No worries - the bits r yours...

- Headlights with brackets - I was hoping to sell them but... hokay
- Mainstand - N' wurries
- U-Shaped Bracket - Owklee Dowklee
- Clocks - If you want them, no prob. (They are in KMs though!)

I'll find out how much the postage will be and send 'em up.
I s'pose you want them asap, too?
Any chance you can wait until next w'end for me to start strippin' the 'beast'? I don't have a whole heap of time at the mo'. Crying or Very sad

Like I said to Annabella - I'm not after making money so just cover the postage. Us RK owners have gotta look out for each other!

And the stag party WAS a blast. Head is still hurting. We all met up with an (unrelated) hen party so the 'groom to be' got a night he won't forget with around 8 girls in the club loos! What a jammy bastard!!!! Almost worth me getting married again for!

'Speak' to yer soon

Fiberglass fairings
I've got a fibreglass fairing, I ordered it from Replica Fairings. It came pretty quick, but you wouldn't want to put it on your bike without getting it sprayed. Putting it on isn't too difficult, fairly obvious wher all the nuts and bolts go. I have to get mine sprayed up first, then I'll put some pics up.

I'm thinking about a coloured screen, what do you think, black or purple? My bikes black, purple, pink with a green seat (standard colours). Mmmm decisions decisions!

Hi
Afraid no fairing brackets - they are on me no.1 bike.
I don't know if the cables price is good but doesn't seem too bad to me.
New paintjob, great. Yeah I liked the NSR250 'job and I think it'd look good on the RK. The RK has got so much more bodywork than the other NSRs so more chance for a good design.
I'm going back to the shop this w/end to (hopefully) pick up my NSR. (Plastic welded and resprayed). Fingers crossed!
