Help. I'm currently sitting under a motorway bridge as it's absolutely hammering down and I don't have any waterproofs

Everytime it gets lighter it chucks down even harder a minute later, it's freezing too. I only came out for a quick blast as it was lovely weather an hour ago!

I'm afraid the ability to post on these forums from underneath aforementioned bridge means my intrigue and jealously outweighs my sympathy for you.

TBH it would have to be some real arse of a copper that nicked you for stopping - you could just say that the extreme weather conditions posed a safety risk.

I had fun on the way there on Tuesday night; main visor had little visibility, could use the dark visor, but wasn't great when there was no street lights and the headlight only managed to burn a hole through the snow after I'd stopped at a petrol station and was riding slowly. Ended up riding with my visor open, just peaking above the screen, giving me a very narrow vertical field of view, but just about keeping the snow out of my eyes.
Much better on the way home, where I had a neck/chin warmer and a clear visor. Screen didn't stay snow-free for long, however .

I think he means the same as round here, lots of very large bridges the motorway runs over with a 30mph road or something running underneath, excellent for shelter =D
personally i'd already be belting it home, the sooner you get in, the sooner you get to be warm =D

also a favourite spot for mobile speed traps to set up during the winter.

from what i have always been told .. it is legal for riders of motorbikes to park up and stay under a brdige on the motorway/large A roads if the weather is bad and as a rider you feel it is safer to stop.
