Can't remember the title of the book, but it was about Kurt's life and death. All the evidence given in the book pointed towards murder made to look like suicide. Things were all going right for Nirvana, a new record deal had just been signed, then he was found dead. About this time, Courtney Love's career was going nowhere. She stood to inherit a lot after Kurt died, but the rest of the group refused to release any more stuff while she stood to make any money from the the royalties.

Those two very likely did a lot of acid. May I be so bold to suggest that 'on the other side' the 'murder' may have made sense.

Yeah I reckon she could have done it too, but no proof so what ya gonna do ?

Possibly get sued for saying it I guess. Although fortunately I doubt Ms Love reads BCF.

On the other hand, he had a history of being a bit miserable, and the relationship with the mother of his kid had ended, so he probably wdnt see his kid much. Being a long term heroin addict might make you a bit miserable too.

The world loves a conspiracy, but there is every likelyhood he did himself, rather than was helped. A messed up childhood, chronic unexplained stomach pains (I can empathise with that) and lots of heroin to compensate, this chap was fairly messed up.

Recently got a dvd called About A Son, nothing special, a montage of audio interviews with Kurt, and he was very unprepared for what became of Nirvana, a victim of the fucked up US schooling system if ever there was one. It was bound to end badly.

Given that an introvert he was, it should be of no real surprise how little genuine info there was on the man. Don't bother with any of the third party, speculative, unofficial shite thats peddled in their name, i've owned them all at some point and they are all unlicenced rubbish, usually just some yank chimp with an axe to grind, or has spent too long browsing nirvana related rubbish late at night on the web.

However, what little genuine stuff there is, is worth its weight in gold, 'Live! Tonight! Sold Out!' is absolutely brilliant, well worth picking up.

It's a shame Courtney Love was such a fuck up, otherwise we may have had a lot more of the good stuff released in the end, rather than shite bootlegger versions.

The coolest thing about Kurt Cobain was that he was in a Creedance Clearwater Revival group with one of the other Nirvana chaps before er, finding Nirvana.

CCR... now that's music IMO Cool

Started off listening to Nirvana when I was 13, loved them for years, but after a while, due to them not releasing any new material (apart from shitty demos that would otherwise never seen the light of day) it got boring rather quickly. Then, for most of the songs, I realised that I dont actually have a bloody clue what he is yapping about, quite a lot of their songs actually make very little sense to me at all.

Anyway, I reckon he blew his own feckin head off, he was chronically miserable, a seething heroin addict, and frequently left notes around saying thing such as "I hate myself and I want to die", kinda drops a little hint there methinks. Besides, I seriously doubt courtney love had the brains or the know-how to pull off a fake suicide, have you ever heard her throw together a coherent sentence??

Total n00b, Kobains acoustic tunes were amazing. The Foo Fighters are great but they aren't Nirvana.

It's all about the 'Man who sold the world' cover. Cool

Precisely, not even their own song. I think I agree that Foo Fighters are definately better talented, Nirvana just spawned a genre, of sorts.
