I am planning a Euro tour next year, and I'm looking to do a few laps on the way home.
I believe you can just turn up and buy a ticket per lap or per a few laps, but I can't find any info on the offical Nürburgring website about this. It's geared towards events or full trackdays.
So anybody any advice on buying just a few laps. I'll be getting there towards the end of August.
Cheers. ____________________ Current: ZZR1400

Well, that's not something that had crossed my mind to be honest. I wouldn't say I'm a slow rider on the road, but I have no point of reference on the track as I haven't done a trackday before.
I've always been very interested in doing a trackday, and the reason I haven't is that I don't want to stack my road bike. Buying a dedicated track bike has been on the cards for a while.
I take it a trackday in the UK would be a good idea before going then ? ____________________ Current: ZZR1400

Don't be put off about going round the Ring, you'll be fine. Anyone can go on there as long as they and their vehicle are road legal - you even get tourist coaches going round.
Turn up, buy a ticket (you can choose from single lap, four lap, ten lap ticket etc), jump on your bike, go to the barriers, slot your ticket in and then you are off.
Watch this video for a laugh - these guys did the Ring on C90's.

These should help:
https://nurburgring.org.uk/calendar.html
https://nurburgring.org.uk/prices.html
As should the rest of the site. It's just a standard toll road rather than a racing circuit, there are often buses full of tourists on it!
Be wary of crashing - check the bills if you damage the 'track' may be worth investigating insurance! ____________________ current: ducati monster 750
