2004 aprillia mx50

Professionally resprayed black with new bikini fairing.

Dellorto carb, race reeds and Gianelli race exhaust, this makes it as quick as fook!

Renthals, LED rear light. New rear tyre and rear wheel bearings, new brake pads all round, Acerbis front mudguard

Loads spent

11,000 km. offers close to £800.

Getting pictures tonight i think.

opinions?
Thanks,,

Sounds good, i loved my sx50 Sad so cool.

My sx chain broke so replaced with a DID chain i think...

800 is good, sold my 06 for 600 part ex and he had it up for 1200.

aprilia 50's are high mantience. i used to take a can of easystart with me everywhere. lol.

dont make the mistake of leaving it with no pad lock on, even for 5 mins.

I did mine like that got it back a week later been barreled and dropped.

My sx did 60 and it had only had the exause done so that one must be rapid!!

Twisted Evil have fun

Got to ask yourself . . . Why has it been resprayed? That rings alarm bells.

It won't be "quick as fook" either so don't expect miracles. Wink

Respray screams it's been down the road usually as does new front mudguard, you need to check frame, bar ends, pegs, levers and engine cases for scrapes or that the bike has had a hard life.

Also the engine is going to be high maintenance.

Always best to take a second person with you as when you go looking at a bike you go with buyers eyes and will miss things that are wrong with it.

It may have been mine, but the master clynder went the was 120 to fix, and aprilia parts are notourously long to get 2 weeks for most stuff. so one thing that you need to order ie my cylinder was without a bit for the 2 weeks. buy my yamah dealer has most parts in or they will get it in the next 2 days.

70 down hill you will get.

i left my lock at home so i put steering lock on and left it parked but came back 10 mins later it was nicked, the brock the s-lock and went. cvnts

the supermotos are very easy to nick and a favroite with the tea leaves, always leave it with at least a disk lock, £10 from local bike shop. but good idea to have a half decent lock, i got a £30 magnum lock. brilliant and if possible a nice ground anchor. easy to fin into the floor/wall. mostly its a deterent, as most are opitunists, ie if the see a bike with a nice bike lock they would rather walk around the corner to yours that the can just pick up.

when looking at it check the usal things, suspention, forks, breaks, no squeeks or anything that sounds strange. take it for a ride just up the road or something. rev the engine a bit see if theres any knocking or buzzing. kick the gears up and down, cant expect it tot be perfect but shouldnt clunk too much. make sure befor you he starts it that its cold. just feel the bike exaust and engine, be careful and not burn yourself.

once you have it aswell if its your first, good idea to try and get some replacement clutch and break leavers. dont want to drop it to find its broke and have to buy a new one and they not have one!!!

lol

good luck

also with it being 2 stroke it could do with a top end rebuild very close to that sort of mileage. my dt125 needs one at 12000 restricted and 9000 de restricted, with it being a 50 de restricted it could be needing one soonish mate

50s are going to be easy to work on, master clynder is reasonably easy to fix if you machanicaly minded of 2 hours work for a shop, average say £45 for a hour so looking 100 labour. may be able to source your own parts. pannel is a screw or 2 and the clynder is removing the old one and replacing and some .4

lol hai,
As pm'd the panel comes pre painted black from peugeot, 3 bolts off 3 bolts back on.

Rear master cylinder same as the someone above it blew so needs a new one and needs to be bled. Like everyone who knows about bikes can bleed brakes.

I could get a 3 year old to do the panel Razz
that easy, just undoing bolts and redoing em up.

master cylinder, last time i had a new chain before it blew he bled it for me for free lol.

As long as it's been warmed up before a good thrashing it won't need a rebuild.
