Air horns are perfectly legal as long as its a continuos tone.

Thinking back now a few years to when I was working at Straightline racing, I was stripping a bike we imported from Utah and I found one an army issue flare under the seat which actually still worked.

A rusty spark plug, an Immobiliser, 3 items from a ransacked NSR toolkit, and a battered cigarette packet containing two emergency cigarettes.

Toolkit, cargo net, alarm, plastic kickstand anti-sink thingy, cable ties and a spare set of knee sliders. And there's still room! For something that's supposed to be a balls out sports bike the R1's got a huge boot, the VTR only had a tichy little cubby hole.

Toolkit, alarm, pager, scottoiler. Had some cable ties and leccy tape but it seems to have migrated out to my toolbox again.

No room for anything else, the underseat space on the CBR is pants unless you like carrying small flat things. Plus the seat's a pain to get off cos it trips the alarm unless the ignition is on, and then I'll forget the keys are sticking out it's arse cos it's a stupid place to put a keyhole and I'll be riding along with them merrily bouncing about at the back getting flashed by random car drivers... So you have the gixer but can't afford to run it or you don't have the gixer? I've never heard of a loan taking about 3 months either, I'd complain to your bank manager.

Blimey Zero! I thought the space under my seat was a veritable Volvo boot, but yours must be HUGE!

I only carry chain, disc lock, cargo net, bungees, a small tool kit and first aid kit, a spare jumper, soft padding stuff (to go under panniers) and then I just throw my wallet/keys and phone in together in a wee hand bag.

Am i the only person woh can't fit anything, and i mean anything under my seat?

I have a small gap where the air intake is, but apart from that the base of my seat forms the rear mudguard.

Feel very hard done by!

Hi

Varies on the bike. The Bandit normally has some spare bulbs, the standard tool kit, a side stand puck and a can of WD40. The Bimota has some unlined waterprrof trousers, the tool kit and an electrical test probe (for the next time the fuel pump decides to be a pain in the ass). Most of the others have nothing or just the standard tool kit. The Cagiva Freccia has a great "boot". Under the seat you just find the back wheel, but under the tank cover there is a fair amount of space. Carried a chinese meal under the seat of the old Aprilias (quite a bit of space).

All the best

Keith

Well i have an insect battered clear visor in my fake tank/helmet box and a load of reciepts. I have the bottom half of an ignition under the seat just in case. Just plug it in the side, twist and go.

I used to have a lock. But i'll gladly let someone steal it. Sod the 2 years no claims.

I can 2 large maccy d's meals and drinks in the helmet box and ride fast as i want and still be in tact. Brilliant thing but then i wish it could be bigger. I have carried some big things in it tho. Like a computer 2.1 speakers and sub. Madness.
