Nokia 6300. Hard as nails. Simple interface good enough camera for snapshots and like I said; hard as nails, can drop it to your hearts content, the battery cover is even made of aluminium.

I'd avoid the Samsung U600 - I have one and it's really not that good. I've had to have it replace 3 times now and the camera is shockingly bad!!

I'm back to my trusty K800i after I killed my N95. The K800i has withstanded a ton of abuse, and still works fine.

I liked my K800 but decided to give it a clean by putting it through a full cycle in the washing machine. Laughing

Asked for advice and opinions then opted for the one that you said that you'd get anyways?

I need a cheap PAYG phone soon as the contract one will be chucked in when we go to Oz as an intrim one.

Any decent PAYG internet surfing capable phones?

Exactly, someone clearly said to him don't get the U600 and i'd say atleast 90% of posters recomended the k800i so he went and got something totally differne't Rolling Eyes

I got the k850i as i wanted the 5 meg camera but i wouldn't move from SE now.

Sounds like he sold some games to his mate and got £60 and the u600 was the ONLY phone he could afford so went and bought it regardless.....these kids will never learn will they Rolling Eyes Laughing

My mates U600 broke (and was repaired) 3 times in about 6 months, until she got rid of it as it became un-repairable.

Best for under £60?

Get an old nokia 3310...

You can drop them out of a hotel window 5 stories off the ground, they still work

you can flush them down the toilet, retrieve them, wait 24hours for it to dry, still works

you can have it run over, still works

you can chuck it at walls 10 times in 1 day, it still works!

It has a never ending battery life,

Easy to use

does what a phone does.. calls and texts!

All of these new phones are shit and unreliable. I know where i'm spending my money when i come to get a new one!

Matt fuckoff son, how old are you anyway. Its my money from selling my ped,so ill do whatever the fuck i want with it. Im not spending over £60 odd on a mobile,i phone and text and thats pretty much it. I asked on here for opinions on the u600 or if there was anything else in that price range. The u600 was the best bet, tried carhone warehouse, 02, and phones 4 u. So jog on fella. 3.2 meg camera, phones and txts, can use my blyk sim in it and 2gig memory card for £55,whats the problem. Rolling Eyes

Haha your calling me son? Laughing Lets just say i'm older than you ok Wink

Several people said you shouldn't get the u600 because they are so unreliable but yet you went on and got it regardless. Yeah it maybe only £55 and the k800i is around £65-£70 but when your u600 breaks beyond repair and you have to buy another which no doubt you will then it will of cost you around £110 depending on price fluctuations.

I can't believe the cheek you young 'uns have, its like keyboard warrior'ing at its best Laughing

If your not going to take into account peoples advice then save the servers bandwidth and don't post your pointless jargon.

Oh and if you only phone and text then why not get a £10-£20 phone, thats all my dad uses because thats all he does, phone and text occasionally. So looks like you have wasted £55 on an unreliable phone which you don't even need Wink
