hi there people, just quick question i took my bike out and on my way back i was doing about 103 (not bragging) but when i slowed down my bike became kinda smokey from the exhaust but for only like 5 mins then it disappeared, i was just wondering if its maybe cause the bike maybe running rich and its just excess oil being burnt??

Many thanks

hi,
its likely to be excess 2t oil being burnt off.
especially if you were full throttle then slowed down quite quickly.
remember the oil pump is cable operated by the throttle.
i'd be more worried about doing damage to the top end if you plan on doing top speeds of over 100mph & not varying the revs.
95 is average top speed for full power on the rs.
seen them do a bit more with the 34mm carb, racing exhaust & good conical airfilter.
my jl equpped rs showed an indicated 120mph, so more likely to have been apound 110mph, @105000 rpm.
was well chuffed with that, though the dyno guys reckoned it was good for a bit more, i dindnt fancy it going bang!
just keep using good 2t & keep an eye on the compression,
cheers,
GAZ
