Went to a small rally in Suffolk last night, in the fog and rain and the flooding and the sleet and the cold and then some more rain.

Stayed in the luxurious Hotel Africa Twin.

All my bikes have a cut out piece of tyre tread bolted to the sidestand foot, so I can park anywhere including quicksand and the bike doesn't fall over, old trail riding trick.

I wouldn't have gone to sleep under the bike otherwise, as I have been woken at the Kent Custom Show in the early 90s to release a mate from under his Suzuki GS850 which had toppled over on top of him whilst he was asleep in his proper tent.

I felt sorry for him, but you know how horrible it is when you are all warm and you have to get out into a freezing wet night, I nearly pretended I was still asleep.
