Er, wrong section for starters, but it will restrict top speed to about 100mph instead of 140/50 whatever CBR6's can do.

Acceleration will be ok, but a bit sedate compared to full power.

It will bog a bit if your too aggressive with the throttle so just be smooth and careful and the bike should be fine restricted.

I reckoned the older cbr600 took to restriction a lot better than newer bikes like the r6. Because it's got more low down torque, you still move a bit.

the fact that it goes from 100 bhp to 33 says it all. 110 tops and accelleration is boring in comparison to full power. low down is fine but higher revs power is poor. better idea is to take it out again.

I agree with 110 tops indicated about 115 on mine I do not know weather it is because my bike is older but it did not seem to make hardly any difference to the acceleration.

This I've got to see, if my bike can't leave yours I'd be severely disappointed.

50mph can be reached in a couple of seconds anyway, so if I didn't pull off quick enough you may have kept up for all of 2 seconds. If you get what I mean. Anyway, the proof is in the pudding! BRING IT ON!!! Laughing

I've just got a 1994 cbr600F its been restricted to 33bhp via down-tuning it on a rolling road instead of the washers in the carbs, apparently this makes for better handling/performance. It does top out at about 110 but the acceleration's not too bad ( bear in mind my last bike was a 125 so i'm no expert). It was better than i thought it would be going down from 100bhp to 33, still plenty of fun Very Happy

Take it down a long straight and try it, it's the only real way but unrestricted i think it's ment to be about 145
