I was wondering could someone recommend to me a top box that they know a full face helmet would fit in?

Preferably a universal top box but it would be to go on a Kymco scooter.

Thanks

Plenty cheap one's on eBay, do a search for "Universal top box" and there are lot's of hits. They usually have pictures of helmets inside them to show you how big they are. Personally though, I prefer not to leave my helmet in a top box and they are so easily stolen, especially the universal types. It only takes one horrible shit to bust it open and take your belongings and then you're left with no helmet and no way of getting home quickly.

Try here or here

Yea, thats a risk. What do you do with your helmet when your not riding?

I don't really want to carry mine about with me Laughing

Put it in my backpack I guess.

I don't tend to go out proper shopping when I'm on the bike so the only times I 'park' up are at work, home or some café so just take it with me. Can get an over the shoulder helmet bag thing, light weight but secure enough and not that obtrusive...?

I usually end up carrying mine round uni all day, which I'm fed up with so am investing in a top box. I feel its safe enough at uni during the day; I wouldn't leave it in the box if say I was parked in the centre of Bristol for a few hours. But then I've not had any problems during the day and haven't seen any problems myself.

Depends on the area you are gonna park I guess. Doesn't your scooter have an under-seat bit for a helmet? Mine used too.

^ Same, I'm getting abit fed up of carrying mine around uni too. walking around with only one hand free, and having to put it on the floor to do things with both hands etc.. or carrying a tray in the canteen with one hand etc.. Even if I go for a slash in the toilets, I just put the helmet on my head to free up my hands. No way would I want to put it on a sink, or piss stained floors.

I don't have the scooter yet, just doing a bit of research. Yea that's what I thought although I read a review of the bike I'm after and the person mentioned that a full faced helmet doesn't fit in the under-seat compartment Neutral Pretty weird, unless that person had a large head and his XL helmet wouldn't fit in? (for example) Laughing

I have one of these for the same reason. It's cheap but has enough room for a full face helmet and does the job. You will need a rack for it tho.

Givi E30 is good for small bikes/scooters and takes a full face helmet.

You can even pick up a backrest and brake light for it, or some places will bundle those in upon request. Thumbs Up
