Yep, ride like your on a lesson. Ride for yourself, get up to speed quickly. Dont SPEED, Show good control at low speeds, Show the examiner a confident ride. Dont get too hung up on u-turns, estops etc. Just approach them like you do on your lessons. Most importantly RELAX, but if your not a little bit nervous your not human. Follow that advice (worked for me) and best of luck to ya!!

Ignore the bloke behind you, imagine you're riding to work...
Do your obs, you can't do too many tbh...
Stay calm and keep your head up and your eyes open...
I thought I'd be nervous on mine tbh but I was as calm as a Hindu cow for some reason... ____________________ Previous Bikes...Honda NSR 125 RR...Kawasaki Zephyr 550...Suzuki SV 1000 S...Yamaha FZ8...Current Bike...Suzuki GSX-R 750... |

And tell us your test story and what advice helped you.. |
right...well i got to the test centre about an hour early with my instructor, we got there that early because the other lad that was with us had just finished his test.
i parked up in the space allocated, and saw the other lad walking over, face like thunder! found out he failed because a car pulled out on him and came 2 an abrupt stop, the instructor said he should of carry on going as it was his right of way! but then again, like everyone says: if an examiner wants to fail you, they will, by any means.
by this point i was extremely nervous, especially when over hearing that a chap had just failed his for speeding, doing 32 in a 30mph zone.
but as i sat down in the waiting room, i heard my name been called, my heart stopped!
the examiner led me aside to set me up with my earpiece and he sounded like a really nice bloke, and just told me not to be nervous and to be myslef.
we left the waiting room and walked over to the carpark, he then asked me two questions...one being: how do you no if the horn is working LOL
we then rode out of the car park, went on for about 2minutes to a side road and done my e.stop and u-turns, they both went v.well, although i no i messed up on my e.stop as i forgot 2 check my RHlifesaver. we then rode around for 30mins or so, luckily the route we chose had no speed limit changes (all 30mph zones) . so i thought id be safe and do 25mph instead
we then went back to the test centre where he asked me a question about pillions. i answered with confidence...looked up and saw a grin on his face, and then he said the words...''mr thomas, im pleased to tell you... i was absolutely thrilled! jumped up and i cud have hugged him! haha.
i then wheelied out of the carpark and nearly fell off, and i didnt care !
PASSED WITH 1 MINOR!
if anyone is reading this who has their test coming up or thinking about doing it... honestly its not that bad, be relaxed and ride your own ride, try to forget that there is anyone ther. thats the advice that everyone gave me and it seemed to work.

as much as people say it
they have no reason to fail you if you make the grade
They dont have quotas, they dont get bonus's, they arent paid per pass / fail
They are human however, which is everyones failing and it cant be changed.
Good on ya for passing, keep it safe and the old throttle hand under control. You dont wanna be posting from the hospital internet machines, as they are slow (i know) ____________________ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
