Ok, Im biting the bullet and getting it done.
I have a job i work too many hours for, a student loan i hardly need, so im gonna prepare to get rid of that sorry DNA!

Im doing it at West Pennine In Blackburn. I did my CBT with them 2 years ago almost. Hopefully Phil is still there. He was mad.

I've been riding the DNA 2 years and had a couple rider error issues. Accidents not my fault i can honestly admit that. although im still being sued. Dumbass.

Anyway, They said it would be £230 for a 3 day job. As i've been riding an automatic for 2 years. Should i do a few hours practive on a gearded machine you think? My CBT was a sincy but i think my aquired riding style would need to be adjusted. Im too laid back!

Cheers, Dup.

Do another CBT on a geared bike(well worth it) as when you come to do your 3 days training , they normally expect you to know gears( to a degree) as it is afterall basic cbt stuff Thumbs Up

Iye, i can just take the 4 day course which has CBT all in.

Well anyway, what bike do i get?

A 400cc or a 600cc? Im after one to last me a bit, cost about 2k tops and be a little more reliable than my DNA.

As with most after a while i would derestrict it as confidence grows. Rozzers round my area aren't too arsed.

any info would be great.

cheers!

(Back to work i go!!!)

As i told you on gtaf Dup, if you can, go for a 600. The majority of main-stream 600's pack a nice mid-range punch, which is where you'll be needing it on overtakes and such. Go to https://www.autotrader.co.uk/BIKES/ for some really good bikes, in really good nick, for fairly cheap prices.

Theres a ton of 600's you can choose from, but its what you'll be using the bike for. I.e; touring, commuting, weekend adventure trips etc. that will decide how much you want to spend.

If you bought may's issue of RiDE you might have been able to see the 8-or-so page review they did on bikes that would be excellent for first time riders. Or buy "What bike?" and take a look in there at things that interest you, then simply look for an older model.
