I'm looking into organising a minimoto day out and I came across this minimoto sidecar. It looks like it would be a right good laugh. Very Happy

Anyone else saw these before? Are they quite common?

I have seen them, but have never heard off places hiring them for 'trial' days. Wouldn't mind trying being a passenger in any kind of road-based side car Smile.

Yeah, i've seen these before. Nowhere to let loose on though up in lancs that i've seen.

I know someone who races the real thing though. John Holden. 120bhp tuned. But i hear hes getting an engine thats 120bhp un-tuned!

He spends a lot of time on it but never has much luck. Does the TT every year. I think its either Formula 1 or Forumla 2 he races. Either way, it sounds sweeter than anything i have ever heard! Gets me out of bed on a sunday morning!

I'll have a check round for these mini moto sidecars. I want to have a go on a minimoto actually!

So no one hires them out then? Bummer.

I see a gap in the market for a business venture here though Thinking Wink

Well I'm going to try to organise one up here in scotland sometime in the very near future hopefully and we will be looking at just hiring them.

A group from here occasionally goes to the Minimoto track near Chippenham (M4 junction 17). It costs £30 for 3 10 minute sessions (you don't want to ride for more than 10 minutes!) including bike hire.
I'm sure someone will suggest another evening down there again soon.

The place I'm looking at up here is doing it at £22.50 for 4 x 5 minute sessions inc all safety stuff etc. So that sounds reasonable then. Smile
