yep, but it only really starts getting very silly over 4500-5k...at that point ya helmet starts to get ripped off ya head and you need to shut it down as the speedo sails over the ton...the best thing about it is the fact that you can be going up a hill, 2 up in top, blip the throttle and the wife's feet still come off the pegs... Laughing

I'm wanting a race can, pref an Akoprovic when funds allow as the torque curve comes down the rev range to the more usable 3-4k region. 70mph is 4000 rpm on this in top and you very very rarely need to go anywhere near the red line, except in the name of science when one wonders what she will do in 2nd, 3rd etc...(that's 80 and 120 BTW)

Had a good look at one in the Honda dealer the other day. Quite big and heavy looking.

My ER-5 sits at only 6k rpm at 85mph - I know what you mean about never going near the redline. The Kwak redlines at 10.5k and I don't think I've had it over 8k in top gear - that was hitting about 105-110mph Shocked
