front paddock stand

the wife got me a set of paddock stands for crimbo

the rear one is pretty simple to use but where the fuck does the front one go into???

the only hole I can see is in the spindle butthen how would you remove the front wheel???

i have one similar to that - they go as shown above - but make sure you put the bits which go under the front wheel in the correct way when assembling the stand - i did mine wrong and it sort of pushed the bike off the stand as it lifted - you'll know if its wrong when you try to use it and its simple to change again.

be careful of knocking the steering too, especially when cleaning around the front wheel or the bars because it can become unstable - if you are removing the front wheel or lots of cleaning around it or whatever - i found it a good idea to ratchet strap the bars to the back of the bike in an 'X' formation (right bar to left of bike, left bar to right of bike) not too tight though - just enough to stop you from moving the steering! this is made easier by having a rack on the back - but shouldnt be too hard anyway. and its not liekly to 'fall' off he stand then unless you push the whole bike.

same as mine and i have decided it is cheap shite. The rear one is tops tho
Ive found the safest way to use it is to slot one of the pegs into the front spindle/hub. Feels a lot more secure this way(although no good for removing wheel). The forks dont sit on the pegs so im guessing the right way is one peg under the fork one peg under the adjuster casting.??

i have a front one, never been able to use it, i know how it goes and everything, its just that one side is adjustable, and i dont know why, its stupid one side just spins round,

anyone wanna enlighten me on something im missing?
