Just been and collected her, think I got the bargain of the century, on a 55 plate, 10,000 miles, just had it's big service, was owned by an army engineer, so has been looked after well.

Cost me £3,200 Cool

Plans with it are -

New chain and sprocket kit.
Arror Exhaust
Some nice levers...

And whatever else I decide to get...

Will be keeping and using the MT-03 for another month or two before selling that and using this, in the mean time I'm going to take it all apart and make it veeery shiny!

Thumbs Up

I like the look of the 675, very sleek and feminine looking and a sadness almost apparent in the lights.

Quite understated and not the norm.

The exhaust does look a little pants from the rear, a singular oval can would look better.

Looks stunning that does mate. I will own one one day, easily one of them bikes that can go into the same group as the RC30, 916 etc, basically because it was such a break through for trumpet.

although dont know if i would be taking it any further off the drive with the roads covered in all the white stuff lol Laughing

Luckily I didn't have to ride it back, got it in the van. Was bricking it just taking it out of the van, am desperate to go for a little ride on it, but my road is a solid block of ice, it's bad enough just trying to get the van out!

Just been out and it's not starting Thumbs Down

Apparently they are fussy once the battery goes a bit low, so will be charging it for a bit and hopefully it'll be fine!

Very nice, I like the scorched yellow. I would have gone for that colour if I had not found an SE!

If you haven't already, check out www.triumph675.net got loads of useful information on there, some very interesting ideas for mods etc.

If you get the Arrow can/ system, make sure you get your local dealer to load the correct map to suit it. Even with the standard can Triumphs own TOR map makes a difference. Most dealers should load it on free, so might be worth asking and get it put on if it hasn't already.

Enjoy her... once you get the chance! Thumbs Up

I'm not used to it either mate, agreed a price with the guy a month ago, then he informed me that he didn't have the V5...

So, I began thinking 'might be dodgy, this is why price is so low, maybe it's a right heap of a bike etc etc'

I told him, I'll come when you get a new V5, he got it back yesterday, and collected it today, was expecting to find something really bad for the price, but was hoping it was a good'un....and it seems it is!

They tend to remind me of a 2005 636 for some weird reason......before they start up that is.

Nice bike, steal at £3.2. I read you have to watch the oil levels mind.

Nice bike. I really like them for some reason. If your looking for a new can have a look (if you havent allready) at the TOR ones.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1d24dEgj_Q

Imo they look good and sound amazing.

After looking for many hours, I think I will be going down this route, all the other ones don't look right (to me) except the Jardine, and that's fairly expensive.

Looking at the TOR, you wouldn't know it isn't standard, and I like that. Also, as I already have the carbon top cover, I could get the carbon cap at the end and it would look even smarter.

Had a panic with it yesterday....put the keys in, all startup lights came on etc, but when I tried to start it, it just clicked and reset itself.

Turns out, if the battery is low, rather than kicking over slowly as they normally do, it just won't even try.

So bought myself some new optimate leads and charged her up. And she's running again, so I'm happy! Very Happy

I agree. I don't like the look of the back end without the heatshield when some aftermarket pipes are fitted, I think it ruins the lines of the bike. The new Arrow for the 09 does look really nice IMO. Have a look on the Triumph website under 675 accessories https://www.triumph.co.uk/uk/Accessories.aspx It's a bit pricey though, and nobody seems to know yet if it will fit the 1st gen 675 as the 09 exhaust system is said to be quite different. I think its one of the few that looks good with the heat shield.

That is exactly what I have Very Happy
It is fairly quiet at low revs, but loud when you open her up!
Here's a pic from when I had just got her home.
I've added a couple more things since then like carbon heel plates.

^^Very smart, like the black and gold! Is the SE any different other than gold wheels, different colour?

And, in the exhaust hunt, I've found a Micron which actually looks pretty good, not sure what the quality etc is like though....heres a video of one.

The advantages of this are it has a removeable baffle so can just use that for MOT/trackdays.

Thanks Very Happy

Not really no, just the metal flake type paint, gold wheels, black engine and gold top yoke nut! It doesn't even say 'SE' on it anywhere! I do think the gold sets it off though.

Yeah I've looked at the Micron, it does look quite good and the baffle is definitely an advantage. It sounds good too!

I think i'm going to ask at my dealer about the 09 Arrow though, as i really like the look of it. They should have the 09 bike in now as some of the American dealers are receiving theirs, and it is a 'British' bike after all!

Good luck with the hunt!

Sounds good mate, won't be insuring myself on this until February probably.

How I can afford them - LOT's of overtime at work, not much money spent on other things, and a dad that will lend me the money while I sell the previous bike Cool Laughing

I can't wait to get out on it, it sounds so good in my garage, I keep sitting on it and smiling, lol!

And I'm definately going to get on the track this year. If funds allow, hopefully CSS first!
