Got the MZ running (Still not idling) but the lectrics aren't great.
How would I tell if it was supposed to be a 12v Battery?

At a guess i'd say it would say on any of the bulbs (tail/head light) how old is it? its not likely to be 6v unless its pretty old (so i'm told)...

As Zero said it will be printed on the bulbs, well, etched in at any rate. Does it not have a battery in at all at the moment?

Look at the old battery Deano, if it's got 3 cells its 6v, and if it's got 6 cells its a 12v.

Hi

No battery fitted when he got it Scoobs.

You can check bulbs, but as a 12V bulb will work in a 6V system (just more dimly than they should) is it not a certainty.

Probably most likely to be marked on the coil.

All the best

Keith
