PostPosted: 20:48 - 29 Jan 2009    Post subject: Indicators not working Reply with quote

Two weeks ago i got some new indicators fitted as well as an alarm/imbolizer.

The indicators do not work when i need to indicate.

They flash when the alarm is set.

When they were working they were flashing quicker than normal , has anyone got any ideas as its quite dangerous.

I will need to obviously need to check the wiring tommorrow , but could it be a fuse or something as i can clearly hear the relay is working fine.

Or could the switch be faulty?

Thanks

Unlikley to be the switch as you say the realy is working.

Are all of the indicators not working or just one, or just front/back/left/right?

oh right i read it as if he had fitted them himself but on re-reading it does look like hes paid someone.

definately agree with above then, get to the garage and tell them you want it sorting, say something like you havent been in or contacted them before now as you havent used the bike much and didnt notice.

they wont do it for free , but a friend of the family recommended to me that i should try to dry the relay as it probably has got wet resulting in a poor connection.

Its worth a try , right?

New indicators you say? Did you switch from bulb to LED or vice versa? Do the new indicators take the same bulbs as the old? Sounds like the indicators were changed to a different type, but the relay wasn't.

Get thee to the garage and tell 'em to sort it.
