To be honest It looks like it's a nice bike but I've never heard of it! I was wondering what repair costs etc would be!

Rubbish.

Engine is a 660 single, frame is off the TZR 125.

That actually sounds like quite a fun combo.

Hi

Not that quick and vibrate a bit. Frame from the Italian market TZR125 (which apparently came from a Japanese market TZR250). Built by the Italian YAmaha importer.

All the best

Keith

Hi

I think they are ugly (they look better in red), but they are cheap to buy for a fairly new one.

If it wasn't for the styling then the idea would appeal (same kind of power, but I far prefer the Gilera Saturno).

They are probably quite close to 33hp and fairly easy to restrict.

All the best

Keith

LMAO, its a xtz engine i would guess tenere 660 water cooled. Er not as quick as an R6, nooooooo not really Laughing

Its a single will have loads of torque and do lots of miles to the gallon. Basically a road bike version of tenere like the Srx.

take a picture of the bum, looks mad from the side Thumbs Up

For a fairly novice rider I wouldn't have thought the lack of power would be an issue, unless you go on loads of rideouts with mates on 600's etc.

It might be best to get a test ride on that and a few other bikes in your price range to see what you like.

Unfortunately I believe the practice doesn't quite work like that Sad.
At that price you're really not getting a lot of bike for your money considering what else you could be getting.

Depends, i know of a xt660 engine making 80bhp!!

Anyway that will only be like 40bhp at the rear wheel if ya lucky Neutral which ant loads.

But commuter wise i think it would be great. Brakes should be super. Wont weight loads. don't matter what gear your in. Lots of mile per gallon. Will last for ever that engine.

Hate to say it but you can get ALLOT better bikes for the money i'm affraid, a friend just got a zxr400 for £1300, maybe not what your looking for but a condsiderably better bike and parts are very easy to get, perhaps not the case with this bike...

How about an older fazer perhaps? suzuki bandit? zzr400/600? cbr600 is a popular one (mainly because it will do everything 99% of their owners want...)

The list is endless, its comes down to quite a few things...

- How much money (not just how much it costs initially but services on a bmw perhaps will be allot more than a cb500 most of which you could do yourself anyway!)
- How far is your commute?
- Will you be touring on it/going long distances?
- What kind of roads will you be rideing most of the time?
- Will you be takeing a passenger?
- Will you take it on trackdays?

Just a few but theres allot of completely different bikes out there, no two are alike and no two owners have the same needs/wants of the bikes abilities.

Same can be said off a cb500, bar the brakes. I believe the riding position aint exactly great either unless you are ragging it.

Good point zero. Basically using mainly as a commute, 40 mins each way, filtering through non-stop traffic 90% of the journey. No trackdays, not gonna be taking passengers. I don't want a bike with more than 20,000 miles on it ideally. Dont want anythnig older than say an 'N' reg. Not really seen anything for £2k. Looked on eBay and BikeTrader, but still nothing. Been considering CBR6 and Hornet, but I just want something reliable and in good condition for the reg.
