Outings and excursions

Would it be an idea to delete old threads from outings and excursions?

The topic is to arrange meetings and nothing else really, so is it neccessary to keep past meets and outings listed there?

If they were all deleted when the event was over then it would keep the section clear and easy to read through and see current events etc.

Just a thought, not sure if it's a good idea or not. hence asking

How about maybe just locking the thread as sometimes you may want to go back and view an old thread for some reason.

Why would you want to bother locking the thread? Doesn't seem to be any point.

Just an alternative to deleting them. I'd rather the old posts were kept.

How about two sections?

Current Meets

and

Past meetings (for reference)

Moderators could then move posts from current into past when they've taken place so nothing is deleted but it's kept tidier and more organised.

Or just don't read old threads and don't post anything new in an old past thread.
