This isn't a for sale item, so didn't know where to put it.

As well as Xbox 360's I have now progressed onto Wii's.

I am now in the process of progressing onto Wii's, I will now mod your console to play copies safely without voiding your warranty!!!

Price is £25.

Add £5 if you are posting, this is for return recorded delivery.

Or you can drop off and collect later, stoke on trent area.

Paypal Preferred to [email protected]

regards
Glyn Adams

I had to fork out 40 quid for the game as well mate.

it's taken me 14 hours to get it right in the end, none stop running up and down the stairs preparing SD cards, downgrading firmware, downgrading Ciso's, proper pain in the arse.

Yep, thats why i figured i couldnt be bothered with it!

In the US its ok, 'cos you can rent out the game and just take it back when you've got what you want from it.

However no-where around here rents Wii games out for some reason!

Glyn,

I've just got a Wii for a bargain price and would go for this.

Is it a software mod? Any chance of the Wii being bricked?

Can you still play online etc?

Cheers

from the FAQ

---------------------
F.A.Q.s
---------------------

Q. What does it do?
A. Play Wii backups on your non-modded Wii.

Q: Should I install an update from a game backup?
A: No. This is untested and by default disabled.

Q. Does Wi-Fi work?
A. Yes, some games have been tested and they work. Though we're not sure if all of them work. Newer games which use IOS37 seems to be slow.

Plenty of online places do Wii rentals such as lovefilm.

As above said.
I have £10/month lovefilm subscription for 4 discs per month, up to 2 at a time, including games for my XBOX360, Wii and Nintendo DS, and ofcourse DVDs and blu-ray. If you have much disposable income you could get the unlimited 30 quid deally.

Anybody that is capable of reading can do this, Do yourself a favour and read this and save yourself the cash aswell as getting hte nice glowing feeling of doing somthing yourself.

If my 9 year old daughter can do this in 10 mins max then anybody can. Literally takes 20 seconds ish to install homebrew channel and that is the only time youll need the zelda game.

https://hbc.hackmii.com/download/

https://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=112945

Installing Homebrew Channel Guide
This Channel is required to be installed on your Wii in order to run the Homebrew Apps in the SD Card.

Video Guide here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwqAUMZ9bhc

Step 1:
Delete the current "Zelda Twilight Princess" save on your Wii.

Step 2:
Go into Wii Options --> Data Management --> Save Data --> Wii.

Step 3:
Copy the corresponding "Twilight Hack" Save that matches your game region from the "SD Card" to the "Wii".

Note:

3.4X Wii Firmware users must not reboot/turn off your Wii at this point. The save will disappear otherwise.

Step 4:
Insert the "Zelda Twilight Princess" Disc into the Wii’s DVD Drive. Connect a Nunchuk to the Wii Remote and "Start" the game.

Step 5:
Load the first save slot.

Note:
If you’re using a USA Disc, check the inner circle of the data surface. You should see the following text as "RVL-RZDE-0A-".
If it has a 2 at the end, then load the second save slot. If it has a ‘0’, load the first save slot.

Step 6:
Move Link towards the man. Talk to him by pressing the "A" button.

Step 7:
Follow the instructions shown on the screen.

Step 8:
The Homebrew Channel has been installed successfully!
Wii Fix Guide
If you plan to use the latest Wii Firmware or are using 3.3Xv2 / 3.4X, you will find you will be unable to install WADs and some Homebrew Apps will not work correctly (such as Any Region Changer and Firmware Downgrader). This guide will fix those problems.

Video Guide here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ymztv_AldFQ

Step 1:
Update your Wii to the latest version.
Edit: DO NOT UPDATE YOUR WII TO THE LATEST FIRMWARE ATM AS V4.0 IS NOT WANTED IGNORE THIS STEP

Step 2:
Using "The Homebrew Channel", open "WAD Manager".

Step 3:
Press "A" on the Wii Remote once.
The Wii should detect a SD Card.
Press "A" again to see a list of WADs on the SD Card.
Use the "D-Pad" to select "IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad".
Press "+" to install the WAD.
Once installed, press the "Home" button, to restart you Wii.

Step 4:
Using "The Homebrew Channel", open “Custom Manager".
Using the same method as in "Step 3", install the "cIOS_Fix.wad".
Once installed, press the "Home" button, to restart you Wii.

Note:
If that fails to install, just use “WAD Manager” to install it like in the youtube video.

Step 5:
Using the ‘Homebrew Channel’, open ‘IOS Downgrader’. Just follow the instructions on the screen and wait until it finishes installing the necessary IOSs.

STEP 6:
Using "The Homebrew Channel", open "Install Shop IOS51".
Use the "D-Pad" to select "Yes", and install "IOS51", by pressing "A".
Use the "D-Pad" to select "Yes", and install the IOS Patch, by pressing "A".
Use the "D-Pad" to select "No", and DO NOT install the "Wii Shop Channel".

Step 7:
Using the ‘Homebrew Channel’, open ‘WAD Manager ’. Install ‘WAD MANAGER 1.3’.

Step 8:
The Wii is now able to install WADs and Homebrew Apps should work properly now.

Optional Step:
If you use “WiiGator” or the “Backup Loader”, using the Homebrew Channel, install ‘cIOS Installer’. This updates the ‘cIOS_Fix’ that was previously installed.
Downgrading/Upgrading Firmware Guide
The purpose of downgrading/upgrading is to re-introduce any security holes/bugs that may have been patched by Nintendo or provide compatibility with tools that require a specific version of the System Menu such as ‘Star Fall’ which require firmware 3.2X.

If your Wii has been chipped, some software (like the Guitar Hero III Hacks) requires the Signing bug to be present in IOS30, which is the version of the IOS currently used by the 3.2X System Menu. Although this can be bypassed by using GeckoOS or the Gecko Loader.

This method will also allow you to change to a different region firmware so you can convert your Europe Wii into a US Wii.

Step 1:
Using "The Homebrew Channel", open "Firmware Downgrader".

Step 2:
Press the ‘A’ button on the Wii Remote. You should be presented with a list of different firmware versions. Select and press ‘A’ on one of the following:

- 3.2J = Japan Firmware
- 3.2U = American Firmware
- 3.2E = Europe Firmware

Note: If you plan to change to a different Region Firmware (say 3.3E --> 3.2U) , once the Wii has installed the 3.2X Firmware, it will ask you to change some region settings. Make sure you pick “Yes”; otherwise your Wii may end up being bricked.

Step 3:
Press the “Home” button on the Wii Remote to restart the Wii.

Step 4:
Using "The Homebrew Channel", open "Install Shop IOS51".

Step 5:
Use the "D-Pad" to select "Yes", and install "IOS51", by pressing "A".
Use the "D-Pad" to select "Yes", and install the IOS Patch, by pressing "A".
Use the "D-Pad" to select "Yes", and install the "Wii Shop Channel".

Step 6:
Using "The Homebrew Channel", open "Mii Channel Updater".

Step 7:
Use the "D-Pad" to select "Yes", and install "Updated Mii Channel", by pressing "A".

Step 8:
You are now on the Wii Firmware 3.2X and can use the Mii Channel and Shop Channel.

Basically you start zelda then walk upto first man and talk to him that kicks in the homebrew channel install that takes about 20 seconds, zelda game is no longer needed after that, so yeah its that easy.

your only gonna brick your wii if you use incorrect games, or a modchip, NOT doing the softmod.

But if you wanna throw £30 away for the sake of reading a page of text and doing it yourself, dont say I didnt try to help you save cash. Btw blockbusters/game exchange etc rent games or just buy it off ebay for a £10 thn sell it again after if you dont want it.

So with this you can "get" games copy them and play them? Or is it for 3rd party apps.

And how would you recover from this as I have not seen anything on a recovery mode yet?

Oh and what does incorrect games mean mate?

I am in work so if those sites have the answers just ignore me Razz

Cheers

Flogged my Wii and had some games left over, was about to stick them on ebay.

One of them is Zelda - Twilight princess. Which I gather from reading this thread might come in useful. So if anyone wants to make me an offer, be my guest. Else it's going on ebay tomorrow.

which part ??? All files that are on your sd card should be in the root directory.

The SD card MUST be formatted in FAT (Windows filesystem) in order for the Twilight Hack to work, The Wii can only read up to a max size of 2GB for SD cards

Heres all the files you need,

https://rapidshare.com/files/203917104/sd_card_root.rar.html

Just extract this to the root of your sd card. That means when you look at your sd card it should have these files in root

apps <folder>
private <folder>
WAD <folder>
wiiload <folder>
boot.dol <file>
softchip.log <file>

OR

A nice guide is here, https://wiiguide.co.cc/
And the files talked about are here, https://www.megaupload.com/?d=FUZQOR1P
