Sorry if I sound completely thick but what exactly are crash mushrooms? I've heard the term / name banded about, especially by people with sports bikes but I do not know what they are Embarassed

their like bungs that attach to you're frame so if the bikes is low sided it prevents fairing damage but in serious cases can bend the frame.

Errrr...why's that then? My Hornet's got two nice blue ones (match the paint!). Surely on a naked bike, they save the engine casings from serious damage?

They don't look too bad either.
