I've been seeing my girlfriend for 4 years. We're very happy together and I can see us having a great future, I reckon she'd be a great mum and she is very loyal.

I have a problem though, I'm still very young and when I'm out with my mates I get a lot of girls approaching me and it's fairly obvious what they are after. I end up holding back and the result is me feeling extremely frustrated at what could have been.

What the hell do I do???? I don't want to risk a great relationship but at the same time I don't want to look back and regret missed opportunities.

Any one got any thoughts on this??

At the moment your looking at these random women and not wanting to regret missing out but come a bit down the line I promise you'd kick your self more for flushing away a 4 year relationship with what sounds to be a great person for a night or two of fun.

I know it sounds dull and boring, but look into your future, would you rather have a partner / wife who you love and know you can trust, or be alone with hazy memories of some drunken flings, missing a women you loved and screwed over, and a nasty burning sensation when you pee?

How old is "still very young"? If you've been going out with her for 4 years, is this one of those "fell in love at 12" jobbies? Between 16 and 20 there's still a hell of a lot of growing up to do - hell, even between 20 and 30.

If you're feeling frustrated now, imagine how you'll feel when the tedium of everyday life really sets in. You'll have a mortgage, a sprog, a job you don't like and balls the size of space hoppers.

Only you can decide whether it's worth the risk. Take a look at exactly what it is you have now, and exactly what you want.

Quote:
Love isn't a trophy you can win at a wedding and then place in a showcase to represent a permanent victory. Love is an emotion. Emotions are involuntary reactions that occur as a result of who you are and what happens to you.
You can't guarantee the durability of an emotion. If you know yourself well, you're in a better position to predict your future emotional responses, but it isn't something you can guarantee.
You can't promise to love forever—and neither can your lover. You'll continue to love and be loved if each of you continues to provide what the other's emotional nature reacts to.

Have a read of this. Sections 18 and 19 are the relevant ones.

How old are you?

If it's less than 25, go have some fun. There's plenty of life left for the dull stuff once marriage ties you down.

Just don't cheat on your girlfriend!

Turn it on its head....

How would you feel if you found out that she had been having a fun Wink time, but not with you....

You don't mention your age, so it's hard to say what you should do. Just follow your heart, not your dick....

Married life does not have to be boring hum drum, even when you have kid's. So long as you have planned well and have some spare cash.

I dont normally post in this section, but I will tell you something I learned the hard way when I was in a really great relationship;

"The grass is always greener on the other side"

Now this only really applies to me as I don't know you, but it is something worth thinking about.

I have always had long relationships and when I was in them I always desired other women. When I was with those other women I desired my ex. Go figure.

To be quite frank with you, you seem happy with this girl. So stick with her, until you honestly feel you don't want her or she stops giving you head or something.

You talk about regrets, have you thought that you may regret breaking up with her in 6 months?

Hope this helps.

Grow some and grow up.

If you're happy with her why are you even considering these others? If you're fine to think about sleeping around behind her back then there's something wrong with your relationship with her, finish it or sort it before you're tempted away like all lying cheating scumbags are.

I have loads of regrets, but they are only regrets because I couldn't see into the future.

You do the right thing now, what ever that is. I wish I had knocked on a door 26 years ago, I may be in the same boat I am in now though, who knows? I do know that from the things I did I have two brilliant kids, I wish their mother hadn't looked at the grass on the other side but she has. Now I can go back to that door that I didn't knock on 26 years ago. Perhaps if I had done other things that door may not be there.

Be happy with what you have, nothing wrong with lusting after others ( sometimes you get the chance to do a bit more, but there are always down sides) Don't make yourself feel tied down, make sure you keep your relationship fresh, then you wont need the other girls. relationships do take a bit of work.

Have your cake and eat it, get a spare pay as you go phone, use it for keeping in touch with bits on the side, play the field, it's only wrong if she finds out.

Corrected for you! Rolling Eyes

Only do things like this if you'd be happy to be on the receiving end and tbh why would you? If you want a relationship give it your best, if you want to play the field do it as a single person.
