Reading and Leeds festival this year look absolutely awful! AWFUL! I think the promoters have done well though, booking the bands that are in the top 40 or whatever but have NO talent at all so all the emo saps will go see them - 'but dude, they're good!' - yeah, ok, f*ck off! Thumbs Down

Download is where its at this year I reckon, and even that only has a few decent bands!

Got my Download tickets booked! Thumbs Up Korn, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Prodigy, Killswitch Engage, Faith No More and Opeth FTW!

I'm a big Reading fan, but this year looks quite poor. Arctic Monkeys to headline a rock festival? Please.

Much rather listen to them than any of the other bands you just listed.

Well done. That doesn't mean they belong at a rock festival.

Why?

It's just a different type of rock that isn't shouting and screaming.

TBF, Reading didn't start as a rock festival. Wink

At least, that's what I remember.

But yeah Reading looks absolutely shit this year Thumbs Down

I will most likely go to Download if I can get the money.

Prodigy and Pendulum FTW.

Oh and chives, you go for the nights more than anything. Almost lawless! Laughing

If "not shouting" is your main definition, and the Arctic Monkeys meet it then you could shoe-horn no end of bands into the rock category.

im actually a huge fan of the arctic monkeys...
Which is my opinion/taste Mr. Green

so for me its good (Y) but yeah theyre not the biggest bands around. and im suprised because in the credit crunch you want people to part with £200, id be looking for something a bit more A list on at least one night. e.g AC/DC return or U2 or whatever
