This is really random, and most of you will finish reading this and think "for f@@ks sake, its only a fiver!"
Our SU bar and club has had a reputation for short changing customers, i.e giving change fora £5 when you gave them a £10.
Didn't really bother me as i never had it happen to myself, untill last night. Got short changed, noticed and demanded a till count on the spot. They told me to piss off as they were to busy and to "phone back at the end of the night, and IF we are £5 over we will give it to you".
Basically, do i have any rights to have the till counted on the spot and checked against the till roll?
I'm not that bothered about the fiver, its the fact that the organisation that runs the venue needs to be reminded that us students won't stand for the shit service they supply. Before you say "go somewhere else", its Bangor and we have 3 clubs!

Sounds like the barman is lining his pockets to me...
Speak to the manager would be my first option. SteveH will be able to help hopefully! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

Do what I do and tear a small corner off your note. This way you can say I gave you a tenner and show him the corner you tore off. Alos, remember the last three numbers of the serial number and ask them to look in the till or his pockets for it. ____________________ Too skint to buy a bike |

Or, show him and the person next to you that you are handing him a tenner and see what change you get back.
Is it just from one barman or from everyone who works behind there in the SU?
Or buy one of the those special marker pens and at the end of the night walk up the manager and prove that's what you handed over.
As Marjay said, sounds like someone is lining their own pockets, ____________________ Colin McRae MBE 1968 - 2007 RIP
