Road Debris- Info needed

Right today, i was blasting along a single carrige way, behind a lorry. lorry doing about 50. A chance came to overtake, checks done and i started to pull past. As i had went past him i noticed that in the place where i was to pass back over to my lane, there was serious road debris on the ground along the line where i would normally pass.

Was quite dangerous, was doing about 80 when i went past the lorry. i had to use the oncoming lane to dodge the shit, which looked like sport bags or something...

if there was oncoming traffic coming...

Anyway, does anyone know of a number i can call to get through to a council service that will take care of dangerous hazards like this? if i phone them they can come and clean up crap like this? i'll use it for future use. i'm in herts.

Pissed me off becasue if i had came off as a result there was nothing i could have done to prevent this. and id be fukked.

The local authority will only act on the advice of the Police, so phone your local nick let them know and ask them to arrange removal.

Make sure you take the number/rank and name of the officer you report it to as well as time and date because if nothing is done and an accident occurs then the fact you reprted the debris helps prove liability against the local authority/Police or both.
