Okay I know there is a chemical you can buy that cleans all the carbon out of you exhaust, but cant remember the name of it ( Only got told the other day). Although this is not the point . . i want to know if there is any other ways of doing it, with general house hold items E.t.c . .

Or a link to a product would be good.

Caustic soda

Caustic soda... also called Lye

& you need a way of plugging up one end of the pipe. The usual method is melting a candle into a metal jar lid that is bigger than the engine end of the pipe. Put the pipe in the melted wax & wait for it to set, then fill the pipe with the mix from the other end....

Do NOT get it on your skin etc...it's what murderers use to dissolve bodies..

Yup, & hot water works better.... but then you end up buggering your lungs if you breathe the steam.... & leave it in there for at least a few hours...

It tends to heat itself up aswell.

Fill it up and leave for a few hours but not too many, don't want to damage your exhaust.

Pour it out, should be black liquid. Clean out with fresh water and leave to dry.

Simples

I usually use a potato to bung up my exhaust when I'm decoking. I do use caustic soda, it can be purchased in DIY shops in the plumbing bit as it is usually used for cleaning drains.

I refer you here for other methods of decoking: (Don't try this at home kids! Very Happy )

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
