Sorry mate, would help a fellow 929 rider but I was strongly advising all my mates to get tickets on friday! Thankfully I got one for me and paid for my mate's one. If you still want to see the bands, 130 quid is still worth it, just means that you'll have to crash in your car (or pitch up in a field somewhere!).

That said, i only live in loughborough which is 6 miles away, but even still, camping IS the only way! Nothing better than getting poppered up on the fairground rides!

Black market is the only way if you want to go camping! It's costly and the camp facilities were mediocre at best; food was extortionate! But this years line up made me cream my pants though! I feel for you since a few of my mates were in your situation and kicking theirselves!

it's just that i did the nice thing and helped my mum out with her car insurance... which fucked me over royaly! Sad

i have £200 cash on me now! i'll quite happily pay £60 for the camping ticket!

Ebay may help but sadly now its sold out you have to pay more!

Controversial one I know, but it worked for me a few years back for T in the Park;

Was in a similar position to yourself r.e. missing the ticket sales but having the money. I kinda forgot about it for a month or two but then as all my mates were getting ready to go I got proper jealous again. Basically, the festival opened on the Fri (bands on sat) so as soon as Friday came I was straight on eBay looking for weekend camping tickets on 'buy it now' . There were quite a few pairs - obviously lots of touts trying to offload their excess stock etc, but the upshot is that I paid under the price of a single weekend camping ticket but got 2. The guy phoned me with the reference number and I just went to the office. Mate of mine does this for all gigs he wants to go to as well - checks your local ebay listings or gumtree listings on the day of the gig and he always manages to get something!

Not sure if this is possible as much any more as they seem to have started to ask for some form of ID at the collection office at some things...however if there's no other option it may be worth a shout.

Failing that you could check ebay every hour (yes I mean this literally) for cost price 'buy it now', ticket in hand, auctions to come up - if you do a completed items search you'll see that they do appear, but don't last long when up!

Seriosuly though, the one thing I've learned with gigs and festivals (from being in your position 1 too many times!) is that where there's a will, there's a way. Besides, it's boring to actually know whether everything is going to work out okay in the end - so much more satisfying opening that first tinny in front of your tent after having spent a frantic last few days trying to find a ticket!
