what a joke.
I`ve got a 2008 stock rsvr on a 57 plate, absolute mint bike with only 3k on clock.Fancied a change back to an IL4 so made a play for a 2006 fireblade with a konica/minolta paint job,2.4k on clock, and was totally blown away with the deal i got offered.
They want 6795 for the blade and after discussing p/ex they offered me 4200 for my ape
i was looking for a straight swap tbh or maybe a little bit of cash in their pocket aswell but i wasnt expecting such a blatant attempt at a piss-take.
Book prices are a bloody joke. There`s no way an 06 blade is worth that much more than an 08 ape.
No deal!! |

Ridiculous. They should be ashamed of themselves.
You'd think that in todays currently uncertain (to say the least) economic climate they would be keen to be doing some kind of business to keep them ticking over.
After all, expensive motorcycles are something of a luxury and lets face it, there aren't that many being sold.
I'd be surprised if some of the smaller dealers weren't really feeling the pinch right now. Not that I want them to, but they have to realise it's a 2 way process. You offer your hard earned money / or bike, they give a little and you do a deal. Simple business and everyones happy.
Doesn't take an Alan Sugar monkey to work that one out.
Although, tbh, if it was Kate from the apprentice I'd sell me granny for a tuppence (and she's been dead 25 years)
