Has anyone ever tried to find these type of courses? Google searches come up with Motorcycle training which is the whole learning to ride thing and the local colleges only offer full time courses, usually included in a car maintenance course.

What I am looking for is a course that takes me from the push bang squeeze stuff of how an engine works to the maintenance repair and building. I need it part time after work and somewhere that can be travelled to from Chippenham (Wiltshire) Junction 17 of the M4.

Any ideas anyone?

I've almost finished my year 1 in motorcycle mechanics/maintenance but that's probably no help to you as it's down in Portsmouth. Sorry.

mm that's something I've wanted to know about as well. Given the number of people there are getting bikes these days you'd think there would be quite a few of these courses about... ?

I know when my other half wanted to do this quite a few years back there was one college in Nottingham and one in Devon somewhere, but that was it.
Oh, I'm pretty sure that there's one at Merton College in North London too, well there used to be anyway.
Hope that helps!

Hi

Probably worth trying the local further education colleges. I know that the one in Tamworth was thinking about such a course.

All the best

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
