In the Gixer household we have one of those confounded pre-pay card gas meters. I went to top it up tonight, only to discover that the display has packed in, leaving us gasless.
What really upsets me, is the fact that i have 2 delicious looking fat steaks in the fridge that myself and MrsGixer were going to have for our tea (with new potatoes, peas, mushrooms and some crusty bread).
I've contacted the gas supplier, they're sending someone out, but can't guarantee that they will attend this evening.

So, do you think i'll be lucky and get to have my steak tonight or not?

What kind of steak? I'm partial to a bit of rump. Medium-well, fried mushrooms, tomatoes and chips. I've just cum a little.

Bung 'em in some marinade, just in case.
That way, if you starve, at least tomorrow you'll have lovely flavoursome steaks that melt in your mouth even more than they *might* today.

Fuck, now I've made meself even hungrier.

I've got rump (quite a whopper too), MrsGixer has sirloin.
She has hers medium, i merely show mine what the pan looks like. Then the dilemma is horseradish or mustard? If i choose mustard, then the dilemma is English or French?
However, it's all hypothetical, as still no sign of the gas man.

How the hell can you even consider that French shite with something as fine as a decent steak? Shocked

God, I actually thought pretty highly of you, right up until you suggested French mustard.

As he shares my surname, not only would it be cannibalism, it would strangely incestuous too.

I have cooked steaks over open fire before, it is not a difficult task, make a very small fire, find a way of suspending a pan above it, put a little oil and the steaks in the pan, and fry them up this way, works a treat, you may have to adjust height ect and move them away from the fire every few minutes to stop burning.

If eating a family member is incest then wouldn't that mean eating an animal is beastiality?

Kobe Gixer? Weird name.
As for cooking it, open fire would be fine, but may I suggest fire to heat up a clean, flat rock or slate. Stone cooked steak is wanktastic. Even burger is increased in win value when cooked on a rock. Was my camping trick when I was younger so I never burned my food.

Rib eye steak ftw (probably the ones that when attached were chased round the field last year by Grottie Rolling Eyes ) with horseradish and there was always the BBQ for cooking - not that I have one, but I thought you might.

Was it any good then............? Laughing

Precisely. Even without a 'proper' BBQ you could have broken up a few fence panels to make a small bonfire and used a metal gate as a grill.

In fact, I'd go so far as lighting a whole bag of 100 tea lights to cook on rather than go steak-less.

Poor show man, poor show. Tut Tut

The best way to knacker-up a good steak is by covering it in that colmans shite. For me it has to be Dijon everytime.
