Back tyre is at the end of its life and needs replacing but the front is still good. There torance metzners

Have a dunlop triple compound which i was thinking of throwing on the back but have heard scare stories about mixing tyres. What are your guys views on this.

Bike is a DL650 vstrom
Sizes are

front
110/80/19
back
150/70/17

i dont think it would be a good idea to mix tyres imo. Wouldnt really know what to recomend for your bike. I have just had some road pilot 2 fitted to my gsxr 750 srad and they are absolutely awesome!!

the problem i have is the 19" front and theres very few tyre makes for this size.

All i can get hold of is the torance metzners which i dont really want to use as this is my third back tyre in a year i think there made out of playdoh or something. Laughing


Gonna throw the dunlop on anyway see how it handles and deceide from there. Thumbs Up

Standard on the KTM 950/990 SM, good overall tyres. Will be good on the Strom.
