Yep, Hereford Racecourse Show.

https://www.welshmotorcycleshows.co.uk/

Steve didn't deserve the treatment he got of the welsh police last year and I hope as many people as possible turn up for his new show and make it a resounding success so we can all raise our collective middle fingers at the plod. Thumbs Up

I'm grinning at the number of people who call the Bulldog a rally.

I was having a "gently-heated discussion" with He-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed on that very question only last week.

When I told him that most people, i.e., Joe Biker-Public, considered it a rally, he looked at me like I had two heads
(then again, he looks at me like that quite a lot, LOL)

He appeared not to believe me when I pointed out that rally punters are not bothered whether its a slickly organised thing like the Bulldog or whether its just the smallest piss-up in a field with a campfire and a one-legged DJ with two amps and an accordian for emergencies: its still a rally to most people ... I could be wrong, as by that time we were both getting quite pissed ourselves Laughing

So I win, yay ... I insisted that if one were to post exactly this question on any biker forum, that people would include the Bulldog (or indeed any other Very Large Rally), considering it as being a rally, - unfortunately we meandered off onto other subjects and I did not ascertain quite what he sees it as : a "party" ... or as a festival, or I dunno what.

Its a fookin RALLY Shocked

Nope it has as many if not more cars than bikes turning up and is listed as a Festival in loads of places.. so not a rally for bikers.

Like Fieldfest in the Southwest ... was a festival but more bikes than cars started turning up so became known as a rally.

A motorcycle rally is when cars are only used for ferrying stuff around for the rally and for really disabled peeps, and everyone else is on bikes... anything else is a party or festival and usually that means chavs so I steer clear...hate to drink anywhere where I may have to hit somebody... spoils the beer as it makes if froth up when the punch connects ... Very Happy

Well, I started the year off at the 3B's Last Stand, near Newbury in April. Then I went to the Rebel Smugglers party in Treharris, Wales. Then the Southampton MAG at the Cricketers. Then 3B's Only Fools & Bikers last month. Have been toying with either the Bug Jam or the Rock & Bike fest for this month. Didn't do Creature's Small Change though (sorry peeps). Possibly do the Suzuki Day at the ACE at the end of July. And I am definitely going to the Soggy Moggy in September, which if I remember rightly clashes with NABD at Cornbury??

Indeed!

We'll be completing an awesome August (Bulldog, Brno GP, and biking weekend in Wales) with the Levellers own festival, 'Beautiful Days'..... Not a rally as such, but as we'll be on the bikes and surrounded by excellent roads we can pretend it is. Very Happy

I am also seriously considering the Endorse-it In Dorset festival this year, since I know peeps who are going, and it's only on the doorstep at Six Penny Handley, as is only £68 for the entire weekend...it's mainly Ska and Punk...it's fab.

Soggy Moggy was last weekend, it was amaaaazing..!!!

Considering the person I was supposed to be going with pulled out at the last minute, and it took me a whopping 4hrs to get there (bloody Friday night traffic, and the roadworks with the average speed cameras).

I made friends with all the peeps camped around me - Ogri members from the Wirral, and a group from Ashford in Kent.

I met Fizz and Scav from BW, Griff and Juke from 100%, I also re-met the Raptors from Norfolk (whom I met two years ago at Creature's Small Change), as well as some of the Rebel Smugglers (Red, Steve, Nath, Damien, and Russ) with whom I spent the most time with!! And I made some more friends to boot!!!

Camoflage were wicked, apparently they played a 3.5hr set!!!! omg!!! The weather was incredible (I got a sunburnt nose), and I cried when I visited the dogs in the kennels. Laughing

It's Mabon this weekend, plus the Rejects down in Kent, and The Doggs Bollox birthday bash in Harefield...and if I hadn't already promised to be at my mates birthday party in Lincs next weekend, I would have seriously considered the Rib Crackers meself (seeing as so many peeps I know are going). Cool
