Me, I'm like that. When I ring someone at work I have to write their name down on a bit of paper or I will forget it whilst speaking to them, I need to refer to the paper every so often. My hands are covered in biro as memory aids.

I can not remember a number if I walk from one side of the room to the other, have to jot it down and carry it with me.

I do things like leaving things on my door mat that I have to take out with me, so I see them as I leave.

Strangely I can remember obscure CAD commands that are only needed every 6 months and the tappet settings on my bike and of course rationing in the war.

I had a stroke in 2005, but to be honest, I was like this before. Maybe it dates back to when I put my head through a car windscreen at 18 (didn't bleed, just had a huge lump and a bill for the screen)

Seriously, how many mental issues do you need to have before you'll actually go get some professional help?

He's forgotten about the other issues.

On a serious note, no doubt theres a reason you cant get any proper help, or you've tried and it didnt work...( Rolling Eyes )

But Shaun is right. From what we've gathered on here, you could do with trying to get some psychological help.

It astonishes me that people like this exist, and appear to get by in the real world.

I have to store everything on my phone in a passworded file, because I will forget it, if I don't.

So how do you remember the password, or even remember that the information you need is in your phone, or even remember that you have a phone, or even what you were looking for when you remember that you are looking for something in your phone which you remembered you had for which you remembered the password?

Im guessing taking a shit alone takes up a good portion of your day?

The password is written on the back of the phone.

Do you smoke weed or do harder drugs? It's not very common but I know that regular cannabis use causes memory loss...

Smoking cannabis can also make people miss things that are right in front of them. Razz

I'm wondered if Warped suffers from a personality dis-order?

Maybe one that has several symptoms including a vivid imagination, or attention seeking temperament?

My favorite part of that sentence is this:

Quote:
Ever since I can remember,

I have no memory,

Ever since I understood I didn't understand..... Very Happy

I say you should try that brain training on Nintendo DS. Or have a word with Derren Brown, he seems to be good at making people remember stuff

So basically, AFAYK, you've only suffered from this for the past 5 seconds?
